Welcome to my personal bit of the web! I'm a first year BSc Computer Science student studying at Southampton University's School of Electronics and Computer Science who loves to program and develop for the web. I've been writing code in numerous languages for some 6+ years now, releasing a lot of my own work under Open Source licenses for people to use and build upon.

Other interests

I'm a huge TV and media fan who hates to admit that I love shows such as The X Factor and Big Brother - so much so that I write for articles about such programs for an entertainment website!

Another interest of mine is internet marketing and promotion techniques, particularly finding ways to increase website traffic and revenue with little or no monetary investment, that is to turn nothing into something.

Free/Open source work

I have released and continue to maintain a number of small open source PHP and Javascript web scripts which can be found on spyka Webmaster

I have also released a large number of free and open source modifications to larger open source software - particularly forum software. You can view my styles for phpBB3, MyBB, bbPress and WordPress here

Proprietary work

I have also released a number of premium web templates and commercial PHP software which I sell through the ThemeForest marketplace

Writing

I write for numerous blogs online, the most interesting of which is a new entertainment website called TellyMix. My work here involves writing up news, opinions and ratings reports on various TV shows.

I also write for a blog called ForumBite which involves articles about forum management, community building and monetising forums.

Occasionally I contribute posts and web design and development tutorials to WebQuirk
